January Theater Class

Four week class

Introduction to Acting | Ages 6-13

This course is designed to introduce students to performance, acting techniques, and improvisation. Students will be able to create, lead, and participate in a physical and vocal warm-up. Students will apply techniques in voice, body, character, and interaction for the stage through improvisation and story-telling. Students will create successful improvised scenes.

February Theater Classes

Four week class, plus a performance

Project ARTitorium Theater | Ages 4-13

This course is designed as a workshop for students of all ages. Students will come in the first day for a real-life audition (nothing needs to be prepared). The auditioners will receive guidance throughout auditions for an educational experience. They will then be cast in a straight theater production. Students will apply techniques in memorization, voice, body, and interaction to a polished production. Students will learn the ins and outs of the rehearsal process. This class will culminate in a final production for friends, family, and the community on Thursday, February 28.

February 5, 12, 19, 26. Final performance on Thursday, February 28.

March Theater Classes

Four week class

Technical Theater | Ages 6-13

Learn about what goes on behind the scenes of a theater production: costume design, scenic design, lighting design, and all the other crews that help make the magic happen.  Students will design and build small replica costumes and sets in this hands on class where Art meets Theater.
